GENERAL RULES AT DE HVIDE SVANER CAMPING
Here you can read the full set of rules and regulations for De Hvide Svaner Camping.
Preface
At De Hvide Svaner (DHS), many people live on a limited area from approximately March 14th to October 31st. The site is monitored 24/7 with video surveillance. We are all different, with different habits, and that’s part of the charm of camping.
For this reason, we must have some rules in place, which we all must follow, both permanent residents and tourists.
The rules are part of the camping regulations, drafted by the Ministry of the Environment.
The Camp Manager (LC) is the authority at DHS.
LC/Reception at DHS should be contacted for any questions or interpretations of the rules.
Outside of reception hours, LC can be reached at 5544 2415 or by email at info@dehvidesvaner.dk.
We expect all guests to follow the rules, set a good example, and guide or assist others in doing so, or alternatively, contact reception.
In relation to pests, we urge that animals and birds not be fed, that trash is not thrown around the site, and that waste bags are not left on the premises. Waste should be deposited in our service area at Karrebækvej, where there are containers for residual waste, glass/bottles, and metal. Any other waste/large items should be taken to the recycling center in Næstved.
It is not allowed to have a registered address at DHS.
All forms of trade on the site are prohibited without permission from the LC.
Subletting or swapping of caravans is also prohibited.
The leased site
DHS is situated in a unique, natural environment by Karrebæk Fjord, Saltø Å, and Borgnakkeskoven with several burial mounds dating back to the reign of Margrethe I.
We are subject to multiple protection measures, such as coastal protection, Natura 2000, and historical monuments.
Therefore, the rules apply throughout DHS from the entrance to the fjord, and must be followed.
Nothing should be unsightly in the open natural space; it must be uniform and not have a personal touch.
No planting, fencing, digging, or alterations are allowed on the leased site.
The campsite is governed by guidelines issued by Næstved Municipality that specify what may be set up: a clean and presentable caravan, which must be roadworthy. The caravan may have a porch with a fixed floor, which can only be 30 cm larger in diameter than the porch. The floor must be painted Umbra Green. Storage tents with fixed floors and painted Umbra Green are also permitted. Terraces, tiles, pavilions, and other structures are prohibited.
A shelter at the boundary may be set up, and dog fences are allowed as long as they are shielded with a screen.
A 1.5-meter distance from the boundary must be observed for the caravan, tent, and storage tent. However, the caravan's towing device may be placed at the boundary.
Camping vehicles must be registered for public road use. If the caravan is not registered, a green identification plate with a year sticker must be purchased at the reception.
DHS requires a certified gas test every two years. The gas test must be shown upon request in the reception.
Seasonal guests are required to maintain their site by mowing the grass and trimming the hedges. Hedges must be trimmed twice during the season, once before Midsummer and again by the end of September. Mowing and trimming are allowed every day between 10:00 - 12:00 and 15:00 - 18:00, respecting neighboring sites. Grass and hedge clippings can be disposed of in the designated area in the service zone. Empty bags must be discarded in the trash containers.
Electrical cables from the power stand to the caravan must be placed on the ground along the hedge, at a right angle to the caravan. Cables, plugs, etc., must be CE certified.
Only one motor vehicle is allowed per leased site. Charging electric/hybrid vehicles is not allowed at the site. We recommend the charging stations in the parking area, with payment via the app.
A seasonal pitch includes 2 adults, children and grandchildren under 18 years, and guest passes for day visitors. Day visitors may stay on the site with at least one adult guest from 07:00 - 22:00. Overnight guests must be reported and paid for at reception before staying overnight. If outside reception hours, an email should be sent immediately with the address and names/phone numbers of the overnight guests.
Driving
Maximum speed of 10 km/h throughout the site.
This applies to all types of vehicles. The entrance and exit gates are closed from 22:00 to 07:00. Any driving on the site during this period is prohibited. Some of the roads on the site are one-way. Please refer to the site map.
Ball Games, etc.
Any activities requiring space or potentially disruptive to other campers should take place in the Kæmpehøj area and not on the roads or between caravans. We also have two playgrounds available on-site.
Pool area
Use of the pool area is at your own risk and requires mutual consideration. The posted instructions in the area must be followed. Children up to and including 15 years must be accompanied by an adult over 18. Diapered children must wear swim diapers. Glass and glass bottles are not allowed in the pool area. Violating the rules may result in removal from the area. The pool area is for overnight guests of De Hvide Svaner Camping. Spot checks may be conducted during the opening season.
Payments, sales, and finances
DHS does not offer credit. Everything must be paid for upon arrival. This includes overnight guests. Seasonal guests will be provided with an electricity form with the starting reading. It is the guest's responsibility to ensure this reading is correct.
We recommend guests read the meter upon arrival and departure.
Electricity consumption for seasonal pitches is billed with an initial package of 100 kWh. Additional purchases are available in packages of 10, 20, 50, or 100 kWh. The electricity form must be presented for verification.
Tourists pay a fixed electricity package per night.
Responsibility
By being a guest at DHS, you accept and comply with the rules from arrival to departure. Guests are responsible for their own property and the property of others. Guests are responsible for themselves, their guests, and the use of facilities such as the service buildings, playgrounds, pool, and common areas. DHS recommends that guests secure relevant insurance before entering into a rental agreement.
LC is the highest authority at DHS and has the ultimate responsibility for operation and rules enforcement. LC’s instructions must be followed. Repeated violations may result in expulsion and termination of the rental agreement without compensation. Issues can be pursued with the travel complaints board.
